Mega Phenom shouldnt be heard. He should be installed! A prodigy born of the hip Hop persuasion expressed through the medium society refers to as Rap, Mega Phenom is an artist in every respect of the word.
Raised in the Boogie Down Bronx , Mega Phenom was born to the family of the Davis's of whom was produced the most notorious of the Davis house one Larry Davis , which is Phenoms uncle. Larry Davis rose to fame the summer of 1987 when an all city manhunt was executed for his capture. During which time a standoff with the police ensued and Larry shot his way out of a project staircase armed with a shotgun and revolver against an entire compliment of Police officers from the notorious 44th precinct. The pulp fiction style bravado displayed by Larry is evident in Mega Phenoms narrative prose and reveals an individual seasoned in the ways of the streets and who carefully borrows from the real occurrences he experienced during his period of riding shotgun with Larry, (ehemfiguratively speaking of course.) Phenom has since this period treaded the thin line between street lure and musicianship and to his credit and the general publics safety, devoted his time and talents to his career as a rapper / producer.
Currently holding down the spot of Black Robs Number one Hammer, Phenom is a standout prodigy in the heavily rumored and greatly anticipated rhyme team Alumni consisting of Black Rob, Petey Pablo, G-Dep, Mega Phenom , and newcomer Rudy Ray Raw. Phenom packs a swagger and deliberation on the mic seldom heard in recently acclaimed rappers. Effortless, arrogant and confidant describes Phenoms cadence in delivery. You can almost see him placing his arm with lit cigarette over a would be competitors shoulder patiently explaining the sheer stupidity of competing with him, smoke in the face and all! Phenom delivers a conversational style clearly missing in Rap today. Gone are the constant testimonies of super human flights of ghetto fancy. Phenom is Currently working on his first album release with established beatsmith extraordinaire and Bad Boy Records In-house producer Tony Dofat , recently known from the MTV reality show "Making The Band 2". Nom is also working on a follow up to his street classic "THOUGHTS" album with his team: THE FAT NAPPA CAMP & friend, MAXIMUM PRESSURE. The title is: "ON SECOND THOUGHT" ..It promises more of the fire you expect from MEGA PHENOM .
