Steve Meicke

With over 20 years of experience playing saxophone, Steve's sound has been compared to greats like Joe Henderson, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon and Maceo Parker. Specializing in jazz and funk/fusion, Steve is a versatile player known for his rich tone and unorthodox improvisational style. He plays the tenor, alto, soprano and baritone saxes.Steve currently lives and performs in New York City. He leads his own jazz group, that plays classic jazz standards to contemporary funk/fusion. He also performs with NYC reggae/ska group, Bigger Thomas.
