The
band PAX was started by the two brothers Christian and Michael Fridh.
The guys started playing together in 1989 in a band called Excalibur.
Christian played guitar and sang lead vocals and Michael played
keyboard. The band had its peak in 1991 when it played at the world
famous Swedish festival Hultsfreds Festivalen. Christian kept playing
the guitar while Michael started playing drums, then bass, then
switching to guitar and then finally finding himself with the bass
again. Together they formed one of the most powerful string sections
around. Michael picked up singing and was soon hired as a backup
singer on several productions.Christian toured with different Swedish
national acts. In the year of 2000 they had both been working as
hired guns for a long time and felt that it was time to do their own
thing. To get the right band, to create the sound that they wanted,
they called their long time friends Jaime Salazar on drums and the
keyboard wizard of Oz, SG Petersson. Since they had been working in
almost every genre possible they had a lot of influences which could
be a problem but as they started to try out some of the stuff in the
rehearsal studio, it all fit in to place. A dark, rock oriented album
with strong melodies and harmonies however with a BIG sound! After
having written almost 30 songs they had the songs for an album and
got in touch with RoastingHouse Productions. The response was
positive and the rock began to roll. The recording of PAX debut album
started and the album is now produced, mixed and available for the
world. In 2005 we made some changes in the band including new
members. We would like to thank S.G, Jaime and Stefan for their time
with us. PAX current lineup is: Michael Fridh: Lead Vox and bass
