Despite being willingly exposed to a lot of Christ-debunking-Bible-bashing material (yes, even the infamous "Zeitgeist" film) so far none of that has been able to dissuade me from the faith in which I was raised (I fully thank God up above for that). I'm not an arduous religious church-goer, but if there's one thing that's kept me believing in the Bible and the person of Jesus Christ for so long it's "FAITH" and "PROPHECY". Like so many others, on occasions I would question the religious beliefs that were once 'drilled into my head'; through consulting the Bible, books like Daniel and Revelations really stuck out at me like a sore thumb. There were times where, out of fear, I preferred to stick them all at the back of my head and discounted them as pure myth; but as time went on and as I observed how this world just kept going from bad to worse in a short amount of time, I became more convinced of the Bible's prophetic words. Many chose to believe that in an attempt for social control, the powerful leaders of our world are using the Bible and somehow making all of the prophecies come true. Mostly, I've found that people whobelieve this are simply making up excuses not to believe in the Bible but what's more: the God of the Bible. These people don't want to answer to anyone and I suspect that deep down they fear the God whose existence they keep trying so desperately to deny. I've spoken to people about the recent increase in natural disasters, and how they correlate with Bible prophecy but they simply blame man in an attempt to ignore that Jesus Christ predicted it long ago. They can't believe in the Bible's prophetic words because that would mean pulling out all of the stops; it'd be the end of the road where denial would come to an abrupt halt and the realization of God's existence would begin; and many are simply not prepared, nor want to accept that. However, I do agree with them; man is responsible for such things. Wars, famine, increase of natural disasters are indeed man's doing. The point here isn't who is causing the events, the point here is that there exists an ancient prophetic book, written thousands of years ago which contains prophecies that are slowly but surely fulfilling themselves during our time. The only question that matters here is: WHY? Watch the news any day or read a newspaper; and see for yourself that the signs which Jesus Christ said would occur before his return are already in imminent effect. He did say that these were only beginning signs of the end and time will show us how the events will worsen as prophesied. Is the stage actually being set for Christs' glorious return? or is this is all just some huge man-made conspiracy plot? When people say that the Bible was written for social control several things are happening--1. they are parroting back what some fool told them. 2. they are looking for a way to rationalize the word of God out of their lives so they won't feel responsible to live by it. 3. they unsuccessfully attempt to minimize and explain away the power of the most influential book the world will ever know. The Bible has had such a tremendous impact on civilization that they cannot ignore it, so they come up with tales to discount it.The Bible has survived assaults, attacks, murders, imprisonments, tortures, burnings & prohibitions, mocking and anything else man can come up with. This is no surprise because Jesus said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." Matthew 24:35Now why do I believe that the father of lies controls the rulers of our world? To quote scripture:Matthew 4:8,9 Again the Devil took him along to an unusually high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and he said to him: "All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me." Satan has power over the world and gives it to whomever he wishes so long as they worship him. It's simple: most of the elite men & women who rule our world serve Satan ( think Bohemian Grove, 322, Skull & Bones, The Trilateral Commission, CFR); and in return he gives them power. Is it any wonder why our world is so terrible?
