I also write as much as possible.
Summer’s eve
Spring is fleeting, its fragrant bloom
Over head I see summer’s waxing moon
I pause a moment and then reflect
So much has changed, what did I expect?
Line up the seasons, all in a line
Too count them all a waste of time
Better to see the moment that’s now
A flowering field, a grazing cow
The ticking clock, deep in my chest
Giving this moment, soon will rest
The gift to wake into the light
To laugh and sing, fly a kite
Gifts today, include my rainy skies
They promise the return of the butterflies
Along this path I push my cart
Offering to you these words and art

HEAVEN SENT
New moon child lying on the earth, Old mother standing she then wept, Warriors came running from the woods, Crying baby that heaven sent.
The chants, songs and stories of clan, Stars and fires backdrop humorous glances, The hunt was good and we feast, laughing child that heaven sent.
Soul fills with knowledge and love, Balance the struggle heart then soars, Eagles dance for eye and mind, wondering youth that heaven sent.
Grown so hard in every way, Pride that he bare many fruit, sky and earth will always join, Majestic man that heaven sent.
Earth and moon have come full circle, wisdom in the old eyes that close, All is one and one is all onto life, Sleeping elder that heaven sent.

On Night Breeze
Softly whispered words of love
Float gently on night breeze
'Cross the many distant miles
Over meadows, streams and trees.
Floating 'cross the open land
'Neath night skies crystal clear
Searching for your listening heart
For you alone to hear.
Soft and warm goodnight kisses
Blown gently into the night
Float languidly through starlit skies
Until at last they light.
Swirling about your slumbering head
They caress your sleeping face
Sent to you in sweet dreams
Gentle kisses 'cross time and space.
Night skies filled with words of love
And kisses that fall like the dew
Are sent across many distant miles
On night breeze from my lips to you
