Dopiate emerged on the Alaskan rock scene in 2005. They have been turning heads and grabbing ears from the get go; and for good reason.
Featuring vocalist/guitarist Patrick Eblen (formerly of Driveline), bassist Hutch White and percussionist Ross Henderson (both formerly of Unscripted), and guitarist/producer Jamie Spurgeon (formerly of Dirty Little Monkey), Dopiate continues their assault on mankind with a will so strong to be heard it cannot be broken.
Dopiate blends the melodic sensibilities of ’70’s rhythm and blues based groups like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, with modern alternative rock in the vein of At The Drive-In, Queens of the Stone Age, The Mars Volta, and Nirvana.
Challenging the barriers of genre that have held back the next evolution in rock music, Dopiate plans to drive a new path by creating original and thought provoking music that is accessible enough to gain a wide audience. These boys bring enough heat to warm even the coldest Alaskan night, and they plan on burning down the whole world, one stage at a time.
