I am enjoying my 20's in which I like say often to myself ,"Self, these are your good ole' days." I'm an Accounting major who is always ready to create good times while avoiding boredom. I don't have a chizzeled game plan for myself because I have a hard enough time deciding what to do with myself for a few hours. My feet barely touch the ground when I try to sit down on life for a bit. It is safe to say that I am finding out who Shannon really is so I can identify myself if I ever get lost along the way. Now is a good time for me to disconnect from all who wants me to stay behind and remain the same, not growing alongside them while schlepping through life. Music:

Hmmm, where to begin. I am a rare breed who likes every type of music because it is music. My skin gets the chills the most from thick Soul and Funk music. Since the two are born of rock and blues I dig their parents, too. But if you mix the rock, funk, soul, and the R&B with poetry you get the bastard child known as hip-hop. So, it is safe to say when it comes to music, it's all valid to me because without one genre you can't have another. I have days where I listen to folks like Digable Planets, The Pixies, Dizzy Gilespie, and Prince. Some days I need to listen to some funky grooves from Entropy just to take me back home to Atlanta for a while. Then other times all I can get is local Kauai stations who give me the local Jawaiian flavah. If theres no music from the box I just take out my ukelele or bongos and find a groove and someone to enjoy it with. Three Legends on One Stage at the James Brown Show

Movies:

I rarely remember movies I see but the ones I know I loved are the Godfathers, Resivoir Dogs, Goodfellows, Zoolander, Wedding Crashers, all Lord of the Rings and Pirate's trilogies, and of course Dirty Dancing.

Television:

T.V makes people lazy and is only good for adult swim, checking the weather conditions, SEC Football and March Madness, and the occasional glimpse at mainstream media trying to boost ratings by scaring the crap out of us.

I'm living in a tree house in a Guava Forest!

My new place of residence is surrounded by talking trees. There are squealing pigs in the back and flying guavas nailing the tin roof. What a trip I'm on.
