YO my names Kevin! I'm located @ Cal Poly Pomona in Room 102 in Aliso Hall. This is me just messin around being lame in my dorm room when I'm bored. I can't believe people actually listen to this stuff haha but nonetheless I truly appreciate all the love and support I've gotten over the past few months. So thank you ALL! For those of you asking how I record, all songs were recorded with merely my voice, my guitar (Fender Sonoran Cutaway Acoustic/Electric Dreadnought my BABY ), my human beatbox, my headphones and my NEW PowerBook G4 built-in microphone. No cables, no fancy microphones, no nothing. Over the years I've learned that it's not about getting things to work with, it's about working with what you got. It ain't about no sound-proof rooms or million dollar Blue mics and all that stuff. It's about the love of music. I try to keep that clear in all of my work. Maybe it'll be worth a listen. As I should have mentioned when I first made this MySpace profile: in addition to my boring acoustic stuff here, I'm also in a band called Speakabox . We rock. I sing, play guitar, and plays drums for the band. It's hard for us to find a genre that fits us perfectly, but we think we're a fusion/grey area between Electronica and Dance Rock. I go all out when it comes to Speakabox recordings; I save all of my expensive-ish equipment for our band. We're planning on doing a lot of independent recording this summer, so we'll have at least 3 new songs by the end of summer. And as very few people might know, I plan on recording some original solo work: like actual music. It will mainly fulfill the Alternative/R&B/Acoustic genres, including fully tracked songs with actual percussion tracks instead of merely acoustic stuff. I'm writing some songs on my own right now that I'm exciting to put on track. I also plan on working with a local producer named KenniEarl for a few R&B/Hip Hop songs. This is something I'm VERY excited for because I have never worked with another producer other than myself nor have I much experience in the R&B genre, so I look forward to expanding my musical sponge this summer through working with him.
