He is my very life and I have my being in Him. The soul knows no such thing as rest until it rests in Him (Augustine) 2) I care only for the deep things in life. If substance is absent, my attention will be as well, unless it continues to exist in the fabric of my mercy, love, curiosity and sight. Shallowness in all forms is death. Everything is a secret. 3) I desire all to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, Son of man, Son of God, and Son of David. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have traveled many roads, searching far and wide for that which beckons the spirit of man. Tears, pain, joy, and happiness have been my fleeting companions on that trip; they all caressed the surface of my cold dead heart during those voyages of mine. Alas, my heart no longer bares the marks of death and pain, confusion and emptiness. I yearned to be connected, transformed, engaged, immersed, and bathed in that which was outside my ever day experiences, though my daily experiences spoke of those shadows which haunted me, taunting me and teasing me; those dusty forgotten images of another world, a better world. I have awakened out of the deep slumber. I have passed from death into life, for death is nothing more than separation, and I was indeed separated from that truth which frees all man from the cords and chains of sin, self, and the grave. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~N o, it was not a mere philosophy that has freed me, giving me some new world-view to cling to for satisfaction (the little gods they are!); nor was it an experience that liberated me. Neither a female touch or love, nor a set of metaphysical principles did this, for “I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure” (Ecclesiastes).I sought after truth and truth got a hold of me; supremely reluctant was I to turn to it though I swore that I ‘truly’ searched for it. I was surprised that freedom, truth, love and union came in the form of a nail scared hand……
