I am a traveling JUNKIE! I will spend insane amounts of hard earned money to go somewhere. I love talking on the phone in traffic...being outdoors......learning words in other languages...watching movies....looking at old photos...drinking alcoholic beverages...dancing....hanging out with friends...being around positive and up-for-anything people...holding my new nephew...having deep conversations about things that matter...blow drying other people's hair...laying in my bed..laughing....learning about new cultures...looking at globes...singing out loud in my car...okay this list could go on forever, so if you wanna know more just ask.
Che Guevara, Elvis, Betty Boop, Marie Antoinette (I wanna know what's up with the pink sheep), the very first relative in my family to immigrate to America, my doppleganger, Gael Garcia Bernal, Ryan Gosling, Jospehine Baker,Vince Vaughn...He is on the rocks with Jen, so I know he is coming for me soon!
I love it all. Right now I am into somewhat of a rockish stage. I am not sure if that is the proper term, but I am loving the Fray, John Mayor, and Stonesour. But also, Kelly Clarkson, Shakira, Mariah Carey,Tim Mcgraw, Alan Jackson, Oasis, Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears,Elvis, Brad Paisley, Alanis Morrisette, and many many more are some of my favorites.
I love Indie films. The Notebook, Little Miss Sunshine (NEVER laughed so hard)Ocean's 11, American Beauty, The Life of David Gale, Pay It Forward, City of God,ALL of Gael Garcia Bernal movies, Crash, Stay, Manic, Alfie, Syriana, The Shawshank Redemption, Fried Green Tomatoes, Pretty Woman, Hotel Rwanda, Pirates I & II, Swingers, Amelie, Dumb and Dumber, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Pretty Woman, A Bronx Tale, Bugsy (well, actually all gangster movies. I guess it is a fetish)......... anything based on a true story and Romantic comedies. I LOVE MOVIES!
Don't have too much patience for TV, but I LOVE Will and Grace..Friends..Law & Order ( all but CI)..NYPD blue..ER..Judging Amy....Yes, there is a pattern here. I guess I like watching re-runs. Although now that I am teaching, I have tried to watch a few shows. Not too successful, but I do like Globetrekker on the Travel channel and House, but I can't figure out when it actually comes on.
I do not get a chance to really read anything but the teacher's edition of Geography books, but Kite-Runner, Lovely Bones, Dark Star Safari, and any Almanacs are some good ones. If girl porn like US Weekly, In Touch, and Life and Style count as books, then I guess those too.
Teachers. I now know what they have to see and go through on a daily basis.
