About Me

"If people spent less time working and more time enjoying the things that work should enable us to do then we would all be happier. Instead we buy all these things thinking they will bring happiness, then we work all day long trying to afford them." ~ Caleb Stephens
"Love is a thing of beauty, like a work of art. And like a work of art, it is created by artists. The greater the artist, the greater the art." ~ from the movie GiGi (one of my favorites)
May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let His presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love. It is there for each and every one of us.
11 August 2007 : I received a discourse from Cat's mother on my Scottish ancestry. I really want to go visit.
Faith gives us a foundation, Hope gives us a future, and Love makes it all worthwhile.
19 April 2007 : I met an Irishman who would have sworn I was Irish by my looks. Definitely made me smile :)
Sometimes it seems that I was born in the wrong era - in the illustrative words of my mother, I would have been her best friend in high school.
"When we pray, we may not see how God is working or understand how He will bring good through it all. So we have to trust Him. We relinquish our rights and let God do what is best. We must leave the unknowable to the all-knowing One."
Jen: in Confucian philosophy, one of the most fundamental of all virtues, variously translated as humaneness, warmheartedness, or benevolence. Before Confucius' time jen was understood as the kindness of rulers to their subjects. It was gradually broadened to mean benevolence, still a particular virtue but no longer restricted to rulers. - Thank you Beau :)
Apparently I have a very symmetrical face... so says Tyler.
I've been told that I have a strong green aura, which means that I am a very peaceful and calming presence. hmmm...
This is the most amazing thing anyone has ever said about me. : "Jenn, the wonder and magnificence of the stars and moon don't simply descend into the west in the morning. They leave behind beauty, strength, and love in your heart so as the new day begins your sunshine reaches out to all those around you. I am lucky to be able to grab one tiny ray of light you exude solely for me used to cheer me up and remind me that there is someone out there who is beautiful and true when everything else seems dark and false. I thank you for the video. It made me feel blessed and unique to you. It warmed me up like hot chocolate (I really love hot chocolate). Words cannot express how wonderful you are to me." : Thank you my dear friend, your words mean more to me than you could ever know.
