The Morning Night

About Me

Through the combined efforts of five young musicians, The Morning Night has gone from being the teenage rock band dream to a gratifying reality. The bands constant search for new experiences, people and places to get lost has allowed them to broaden their love for music to a point where all can enjoy it.
Combining catchy guitar riffs with the experimental sounds of organ and keys, The Morning Night take the classic rock song to a new level - taking apart your expectations of a five piece rock band. They manage to combine three part harmonies with a tight rhythm section, not for a moment allowing a lapse in your attention. With influences like Wilco, The Go-Betweens and The Triffids, the conjoined efforts of all band members allows for a sound that pushes the lines of clarification and leads you into a larger sound. Their ‘music has no rules’ attitude allow all aspects of their music to seep emotion and experience – something relaying in both their live shows and recordings. It is thanks to the combination of refined song writing skills and their ability to push the boundaries of rock that allow The Morning Night to continue their search for musical enlightenment.
Having played performances with the likes of The Triffids, Richard Lane (the stems), New Rules for Boats and The Panda Band, The Silents, Abbe May and Felicity Groom The Morning Night continue to get exposure and support from audiences around Perth and Fremantle. It is with that noted that they welcome the support of any music lover, anywhere in this vast world they hope to one day discover . . .
