About Me

I'm introverted and a little bit of a misanthrope. I'm grouchy, cynical, and sarcastic. I like staying at home and being a couch potato. I live off of turkey sandwiches, burritos, and Dr. Pepper. I'm a creature of habit, so I don't try new things as much as I should. I'm trying to be better about that. I'm always down for a good practical joke. I like being obsessed with stuff. I love reading. I think I might want to be a librarian when I grow up, but I already feel like I'm going to be in school forever...Plus I don't think I'll ever actually be a grownup.

Things I despise: bananas, running, waking up early, math, volleyball, most meat, people who don't know what common courtesy is, warm or hot weather, September, scalloped potatoes, when people are always late or flaky, children, feet, driving, dancing

My screenname is BlueSequinsR

I edited my profile with MyPimpSpace.com, you should too!

I'd like to meet:

A real oddball.

Music:

Ska is my absolute FAVORITE! I like other bad ass stuff like show tunes, 70s punk, pop, and Cat Stevens.

Movies:

Harold and Maude and ALL John Waters movies. I love musicals, anything that is campy, weird, gross, or about drag queens or the 1950s. I also love movies that star John Travolta no matter how good or bad they are. My "guilty" pleasures are chick flicks and lifetime movies.

Television:

Current Shows: The Office, Nip/Tuck, What Not to Wear, Dexter, Pushing Daisies, Good Eats, Miami Ink, LA Ink, Mystery Diagnosis, Dr. Steve-O, The Soup

Thank God for TV on DVD and/or reruns: 7th Heaven, Gilmore Girls, The Brendan Leonard Show, Queer Eye For the Straight Guy, Trailer Park Boys, The Andy Dick Show, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Beavis and Butthead, Six Feet Under, JACKASS, Viva La Bam, Wildboyz, Dead Like Me, 'Til Death Do Us Part (With John Waters)

Books:

The Chronicles of Narnia, A Wrinkle in Time, Many Waters, The Never Ending Story, Momo, Harold and Maude, Archie comics, The American Girl Series, The Series of Unfortunate Events, Harriet the Spy. Pretty much anything I'm "too old" for.

Heroes:

These people aren't so much my heroes, but people I'm infatuated with: John Waters and all the Dreamlanders, Bill Plympton, Salvador Dali, Dan Clowes, Edward Gorey, Cat Stevens, John Travolta, Johnny Knoxville (all the Jackass boys really), Natalie Dee, Steve Buscemi, Heronimous Bosch, and Andy Dick. I'm probably forgetting some, but that's a good list for now.

Adventures in Staunton

I went to visit Star at her school this weekend. The weather during the trip to Staunton was miserable. It was pouring and foggy the whole time. I'm glad I didn't fall off the side of the mountai...

My Canada/Trailer Park Boys Adventure

Canada was so amazing. Everyone there was so polite and friendly, and there wasn't any road rage like with people here. It really opened my eyes to how much most average people here suck. The only thi...

So I almost got arrested on Wednesday

Wednesday was so horrible. I was driving down 64 to go to school, and I was almost there. I was changing lanes so I could exit soon, and then the traffic slowed down really fast because of the constru...
