Don't Ever Let Me Go

About Me

Born and raised in Maui, Hawaii, Gaia Golden has always known that she wanted to be a singer. At a young age she started taking lessons from a local vocal instructor who thought Seth Riggs technique, speech level singing. After a few years Gaia had that technique mastered and started writing her own songs in the genre of R&B and Pop, her style, greatly influenced by Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Lauren Hill, and Tony Braxton. Gaia’s songs are mostly writen from her view of other people lives and how their lives have affected hers. In addition to vocal lesson Gaia studied various styles of dance including ballet, hip-hop, modern and jazz, which lead her to several performing opportunities; making her very passionate for performing. Wanting to learn more about music Gaia started taking music theory and keyboard with Willy Nelson’s piano player Less Adams. During this time Gaia Golden started modeling for local merchants becoming the face for Enchantress boutique in Maui, Hawaii. She also was featured in the windsurfing company Tropical Energy’s 2006 calendar “Maui Girls.” Graduating two years early from high school, Gaia did a year at a community college, at that time mostly concentrating on her song writing. In the summer of 2005 she moved to Hollywood, California to go to a music school where she pursed her studies in music theory, recording techniques and guitar.
