About Me

I am Laura.
I am 27.. eek..... I'm originally from a village called Pelsall, near Walsall in the good old West Midlands, where people talk a bit funny.I don't talk funny anymore, well, most of the time anyway.
Since moving from Pelsall I have lived in Nottingham, Mansfield, Palmerston North in New Zealand and now here in a village near Taunton in Somerset....... I would very much like to back to live in New Zealand....It's nice there
I love CHAPICA!! It's a website set up by my lovely friend Tsunafumi in Japan which not only promotes kindness to animals but also makes really cool t-shirts! Click on the link and have a look!
Other things I like - in no particular order!
Spotting the first spring flowers growing (snowdrops-fab)
friendly dogs (especially schnauzers but any kind will do)
hedgehogs (I was once foster mum to 5 baby orphan hedgehogs)
lying in at the weekends (best thing in the world!)
unexpected panoramic views (you know, that you really weren't expecting?)
strangers that say hello (always surprises me)
English countryside (rolling meadows)
home baking (no E numbers or crap!)
pohutukawa trees at Christmas (or not at Christmas-they're still beautiful!)
clear star studded skies (nasty nasty light pollution)
New Zealand bush (I love tree ferns)
vegetarian food (I don't do meat)
old buildings (mainly Victorian or Georgian)
mohair wool (for knitting!)
pottering on a day off work (work sucks)
quietness (aaahhh, can you hear it?)
the smell of blown out candles (birthdays!)
mittens on string (fab)
dresses over trousers (bonkers)
robins (they get sooo close)
any thing from LUSH (especially bath ballistics that leave glitter and little stars in your bath)
smoothies (preferably strawberry)
sunflowers (sunny!)
a good cup of coffee with froth (quite scarce in England actually)
Chai latte (yum)
nice chocolate (gotta be Cadbury's!)
vintage stuff (the wonkier the better), hot water bottles (I live in a cold old flat)
plaits (when my hair's long enough)
the sound of seagulls at the seaside (cos it makes you think you're on holiday!)
getting mail (but not junk or bills, please)
snow (but it never snows in Somerset. Bah)
getting lost in a book (when it's a good one, obviously)
summer (warmth!)
wisteria (pretty purple)
tadpoles (wiggly)
baby birds (fluffy and stupid!)
udon noodles(slurp)
I really don't like (in no particular order!)
eating animals
people with no manners
annoying noises (motorbikes, drills, screaming children etc!!)
getting up for work
going to Tesco when it's packed
litter
chavs
smelling of smoke when you leave a pub
dog poo on your shoes
ostentatious people. MyGen Profile Generator
