I'm an idealistic dreamer. I've been told that I'm relentless, a 'hopeless' optimist, and a patient fool. I relish the thought of hoping for and bringing to reality those spectacular moments in life. Whether it's getting published, being an outstanding father, or being that special someone that the woman in my life needs...body, soul, and mind. I seek those moments because they are the moments I live for. They are the moments I write about and hope to create. And the resulting emotion hopefully is reflected in the way I write, the way I smile, and the way I live my life. I just want to be an example to show people that life is what you make of it... so why focus on all that is bad?
I'm definitely a far cry from your typical stereotype of a brotha. I'm from the south (North Carolina) yet I find myself at home wherever I go. I get along with people wherever I find myself and manage to fit in despite my setting. Upstate NY, Seattle, Miami, NC, or even CT are all places where I've left my mark and met some amazing people. Even then, I still feel like those I call my friends are few and far between. I hope that changes...
I'm a mechanical engineer, a published poet, a father, a military brat, a freelance music lover and reviewer, a casual video gamer, an anime lover, a lover of Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance books, a ficitional Mechwarrior pilot, a lover of Star Wars and WingCommander, a movie addict, a table-top RPG player & creator, a comic book lover, a dedicated NBA fan, and I have an odd affinity for Japanese and Chinese history and culture.
