I have always been interested in the healing qualities of the arts, and have always loved dance. My education background includes a B.S. in Psychology, with an emphasis in Art Therapy and paralegal certificate. For now I actively work to supplement my dance habit at a law firm in downtown Nashville. I became interested in world tribal belly dance and started intensely studying this particular dance form in 2002. I am a founding member of Gypsyville Tribal Belly Dance and have performed with Gypsyville across the county since 2003. Some of my teachers and influences include Nichole Hanna, Suhaila Salimpour, Mira Betz, Zafira, Jill Parker, Ariellah, Kassar, Belladonna, Urban Tribal, Rachel Brice, Zoey Jakes, Linda Reed and my yoga instructor Gillian St. Clair. I currently teach a basic belly dance class at Centennial Sportsplex on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. There is also Nichole Hanna’s Monday night belly dance class at Centennial Sportsplex at 6:10 p.m. For more information please see the following link - http://www.nashville.gov/sportsplex/fitness_group_exercise.h
