Formed in 1992 LESSHELP based in Belfast N.Ireland are a four-piece grindcore band..............................................Full identity of the band a closely guarded secret, long before Slipknot wore masks LESSHELP wore hoods! Long before Brujeria thought of it LESSHELP were doin it............................................First release, the now deleted GRINDING METAL E.P. was released in 1994 to the hordes. Featuring 28 songs recorded on a 4 track all with pure brutality and pure stupidity as the key elements..........................................Second Release, now also deleted, 1994 ALIVE, ALIVE, OH - recorded live in Rosetta Bar dec 1994 was the bands first gig, it featured two additional studio tracks, HOMOPHOBIC? and FACE IN A BLENDER......................................Third release, 1995, the seminal work that is, CITY KNEE DEEP IN DEAD SPIDES*, again light years ahead of everyone else, years before the term CHAV was in public domain and the utter hatred of such a bunch was common place. Anyway featuring 30+ tracks recorded in a propper studio on 1/4" tape it featured such classics as ICHY SAC THE BITCH STRIKES BACK and 195 DECIBELS.................................................... ......................1996- 1999 - the wilderness Years....................................................... .............................................1999 After the Chart busting success that was CITY KNEE DEEP IN DEAD SPIDES it took some time to come up with the follow-up release. the writing and recording was done partly because of public pressure not to disband and partly because there were a raft of other songs to be penned. The 2000 Release of DONT SETTLE FOR LESS THAN METAL summed up what the band was (and had been) all about. 46 tacks of brutality/stupidity and anti-spide sentiment................................................... ..................................................Past live shows - LESSHELP live shows are the stuff of myth and legend - in over 12 years they have managed 6 shows. Dec 1994 - 2 shows in belfast July 1996 - 1 show in belfast, 1 near belfast June 2002 - 2 shows in belfast.the last show in belfast june 2002 was captured for the live album LIVELESS - featuring the ful 36 song live set, and 4 bonus studio tracks - one of which was a cover of Vim Fuegos IMAGINE...The show was also videoed for a future DVD release charting the 14 years of blast/grind............LESSHELP have now played their 7th and 8th EVER gigs!!!
