I am now a proud mommy of a beautiful baby boy named Xander Michael. He was born September 5, weighed 8 lbs 6 ozs, and I fell instantly in love. One look at him, and it was all over...I'm smitten. I spend my days looking at him and thanking God for him.About me? Well, I tend to be a bit naive about people, especially when it comes to always believing in the best in a person....I get disappointed frequently and yet I refuse to quit believing that individuals are inherently good. I tend to be pedantic, showcased particularly in my attention to apostrophe use. Watch me wince when I see a giant sign that reads "Employee's Only", or "Pizza's and Sub's" or "Girl's Girl's Girl's!!!!" Seriously, I'm thinking about starting a newsletter and issuing citations for the misuse of apostrophes. Pet peeves include bromide statements/questions, i.e. "Did you order this heat/snow/weather?", "It's not the heat, it's the humidity", etc. I'm not particularly intolerant of trite conversation, just bored easily. On a positive note, I'm passionate about vocabulary; I anticipate my daily dictionary.com Word of the Day with alacrity, then try to use it in a sentence. I'm not pretentious, just eager to learn.
