ONLY YOOU CAN PREVENT FOREST FIRES!!At an extremely, ridiculously young age, one of my best friends of all time and I recorded a song entitled "Rock Star Jones". I have never been able to find the recording to this day and realistically, most likely, I never will. That great friend, whom I rarely ever see nowadays, is still cool and will always be like a brother to me. Around the same age, probably a little earlier and little after, I would watch my uncle Richie play the Drums in our basement. He was in a band, and I really wanted to be like him. I still do, but I suck at the Drums. In fourth grade I was introduced to grade school band where I first learned how much I suck at the drums, when I tried out for them and the teacher suggested I try the trumpet or coronet. I always despised the trumpet because I wanted to be a drummer, but I somehow fell in love with the coronet along the way. I should have started appreciating it much sooner because my Aunt Jackie played the Trumpet in grade school as well. In 1994 my parents generously started to pay for guitar lessons for me. I took the lessons all four years of high school, and coincidentally the Music store, tragically, seemed to last the same time as my high school days did. So basically, I've always wanted to create music as great as "Rockstar Jones" seemed when I was a kid and I've been very influenced by my uncle and from my parents support with the guitar. I also want to start the Trumpet/Coronet back up. My uncle Bobby has always had a tendancy to buy me Kareaoke Machines over the years and that certainly helped too. I'm not saying I'm good, in fact I suck.. but I love music and plan to create it for the rest of my life. So one day, not long after I first picked up the Guitar, I started singing to my puppy.. Lacy. She was in her cage and we had a carpet she slept on inside it, and whenver I would play guitar and sing she would get nervous and chew her carpet.. so I started singing my masterpiece, "Billhouse Blues". I sang to her.. "she's chewing up her carpet"... "she don't like myyy siiingiing!!". It was brilliant.. Shut up.. I say it was.It was inevitable that I would have a strong interest in music, because it runs in my family.. My mom played Clarinet, my Aunt Jackie played the Trumpet, My Cousin Bobby on my Dad's side fronts a very popular local band called InZane as well as another group, My uncle Richie played the Drums, my uncle Bobby was in a singing group when he was younger, my third cousin Flora is an Opera singer, my Grandpa Palma played the Violin often accompanied by his friend Marty on the Accordian, and my Great Grandfather was a popular Orchestra Leader in Chicago.
