Oklahoma Kidd

The Oklahoma Kidd was born Christopher Aaron Price on June 3rd, 1984 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Raised in Comanche Park in the gutter of North Side Tulsa, the Kidd was hardened at an early age. His life experience is evident in his energetic, razor-sharp, and in your face lyrics. At the age of 21 the Kidd has established a connection between Tulsa, OK and Dallas, TX which allows him to work with both pools of talent and create a sound which has never been heard before. Working with Mr. Payn, C.E.O. of Million Dollar Records (located in Dallas), the Kidd created his 18-track debut album Gutta. Receiving props from thugs, hustlers, and other artists in Dallas and Tulsa, Gutta showcased an artist on a mission to put the R(eal) back in RAP. Dedicated to his mother who passed away four months after the album's completion, Gutta is not the typical flashy, candy-coated music that's infected today's mainstream rap industry. Put simply the Oklahoma Kidd is a dedicated young "go-getta" who was born in the GUTTA, raised in the GUTTA, and will always keep it GUTTA.

I was brought into this life Im living on Dec. 11, 1977. Born-N-Raised in Northside Tulsa, OK, I spent over 20 years on the block of 52nd and Frankfort.Since I was a young boy I always showed my love and talent for good music. I was also gifted with great Athletic ability, so I focused on a professional basketball career and put my music aside. Then, on June 3, 1997 my son DeJae, (Derrick Taylor Jr.) was born. Hes the best thing in my life and he made me focus on the important things.
