Facts have an anti-Bush agenda.

About Me

I once stole three hundred bux worth of dippin' dots. I don't steal anymore, however--it's bad karma.

My Interests

I studied international relations--specifically, war and security, Latin American politics, and gender in international politics. I like archaeology and math. I am fascinated by inter-species relations. Religions, especially the evolution of the world's major religions; the theories presented by my man, Charles Darwin; sexual politics and the biology that underlies them.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who looks like Matt Leinart. I really want to meet more vegans. Nice people. Smart, nice people. I already met Jeremy Piven's mom, so I can cross her off the list.

Music:

Rob Zombie remixes of White Zombie songs. Currently listening to Dessa's debut album like it's my job. And Cannibal Corpse gets a special mention. Punk: Bad Religion, the Descendents, Avail, NOFX, The Ramones, The Clash, Sex Pistols, All, the Vandals, RKL, Greenday, Gone, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Wizo, YOUTH TAKES THE HEADLINES (caps for Aaron and Jordan) and like 50 other lesser known bands--especially hardcore, because I have a lot of rage. Rock (loosely termed): David Bowie, Erik Clapton, Superdrag, The Rolling Stones, Violent Femmes, Nine Inch Nails, Tenacious D, Beck, The Beatles, Faith No More, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Johnny Cash, Jimmy Buffett, Weezer, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Cake, Coldplay, No Doubt, Phish, Queen, the Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Simon and Garfunkel, Styx, O.A.R., Air, the Pixies the Postal Service, the Who, Warren Zevon Jazz: Dave Brubeck, the Bird, Billie Holiday, Mulatu Astatke, Django Reinhart, Dizzy Gillespie, B.B. King, Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock Pop/Hip-hop/Rap: Dessa and the Doomtree Crew, Dre, Eminem, Tupac, Tone Loc, Madonna, Michael Jackson, The Streets, Audio Bully, John Legend. Funk and disco, for sure. Latin Rock: Babasonicos, Soda Stereo, La Gran Calabaza, Julieta Venegas, Giovanni Pinzon, Los Amigos Invisibles, Mano Negra, Macaco, Orishas, and of course, Manu Chau Classical: Most of it, especially Bach

Movies:

In no particular order: Kill Bill, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Pulp Fiction, Snatch, Anchorman, La Femme Nikita, Zoolander, The Royal Tennenbaums, The Life Aquatic, Good Will Hunting, MST 3K The Movie, Ghostbusters, A Few Good Men, Top Gun, Eyes Wide Shut (used to have a thing for Tom Cruise, but now isn..t he quite a freakshow?), any of the Indiana Jones movies (still have a thing for Harrison Ford), Beerfest, Clueless, Club Dread, The Shawshank Redemption, Fever Pitch.

Television:

I like watching sports. Not motor sports though. And shows about the natural world. Iron Chef. Family Guy and The Simpsons.

Books:

Lord of the Flies. Throw in a few more from the canon (The Great Gatsby, The Scarlet Letter, Huck Finn, Oedipus Rex); I also read crappy adventure novels of the Crichton/Cussler/Brown variety. Oh, Entre Amigas is really, really good for anyone who speaks Spanish. Black Like Me--amazing investigative journalism. I like the poetry of Robert Lowell, feminist prose, and Kurt Vonnegut. Gulliver's Travels is a great satirical work. Julius Caesar is my favorite play by Shakespeare. Beware the Ides of March!!

Heroes:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
