Muscles and a smile....

About Me

Me?

Well, I am 47 years young, college educated, semi-retired (did the corporate / finance / stock market thing and it got old, so it was time to quit, move on and pursue the rest of life) and now I'm into my weight training / bodybuilding. I am always working towards gaining muscle size, improving myself and like to learn from those with real experience and share my knowledge (whatever there is of my knowledge! LOL!). I am NOT (underline...NOT!!) looking for hook ups, sex, fast flings, nonsense talk or anything like that....what I want to do here is to learn more about my bodybuilding/training, nutrition, different approaches and techniques (fascia stretching, for instance) and anything that will help promote muscle growth and keep me motivated in and out of the gym. In short, I'm a big guy looking to get even bigger! And making friends with like interests would be a definite plus

For me, this year is the year I want to gain as much muscle mass as I possibly can and see how far I can go.... (BTW, WHERE are the serious training partners/lifters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area anyway and why is it so difficult to find a really good training partner?

If you're seriously into your workouts and training drop me a line...always willing to talk and share info. SERIOUS bodybuilding talk only! I'm on a quest, and that is my goal.... :) Please, don't attempt add me if you are just here looking for numbers to add to your friends list or just want to chat for chattings sake and don't share that common fitness goal.... it will simply be a waste of our times, and life is too short don't you think? :) Take care all and thanks for stopping by!.

My Interests

Bodybuilding, Weight Training, Computers, Investing and Automobiles/Collector Cars.

I'd like to meet:

1). Scott Wilson again. An early bodybuilder that I had met many years ago that was a great influence on me!2). Donovan Duncan. He was my first training partner here in Texas at the Powerhouse Gym in North Richland Hills in the early 90's. Would love to know whatever happened to him as he showed me techniques and how to train my mind to "Think BIG!" I owe him a great thanks!3). People SERIOUSLY into their bodybuilding and training to compare notes, techniques and experience. I know a great deal, but always wanting and willing to learn more!

Music:

It all depends on my mood.... Very varied....from Mozart, Bach, Nine Inch Nails, Hiroshima, Aretha Franklin, Wang Chung, Swing Out Sister, Pantera, Jackyl... anything with a good beat, but simply can't get into rap....

Movies:

"V" for Vendetta...a VERY relevant movie for our times."Casino Royale" James Bond.... I am totally surprised at how great Daniel Craig was in the role of 007. He breathes new life into an old institution...

Television:

PBS and documentaries... I HATE TV in general. It is mind numbing pablum for the masses.

Books:

Murder Mysteries, Dramas, Dean Koontz, Stephen King (when he was writing under the pseudonym Richard Baumann), early John Grisham, (I mean he can write books forever as there will never be a shortage of crooked lawyers and politicians!) And the "Prey" series of novels...

Heroes:

My Parents..... My mother for her strength, wisdom and loving nature, and my father for his aggressive, alpha-dog mentality and the ability to get things done and live life on his own terms. The original "In Your Face!" type of guy. And deep inside the most loving person that you would've ever met. I miss you, dad! :)Also: we all should be and strive to be our OWN heroes!

My Blog

Tick...tick....tick!

Tick, tick, tick&&.   Well, it has been some time since I've been able to sit back and type my thoughts and some motivational words for getting big and keeping that fire of bodybuilding alive. As...
