About Me

I started playing guitar seriously in about 1986, after seeing footage of Jimi Hendrix with The Band of Gypsys. I had been messing around and had a few lessons for a few years, but didn't have the drive to really get into it. After seeing Hendrix I knew I "had to do that". I had about 2 years of lessons from a jazz guitarist by the name of Graeme Webb (fantastic player), then just kept playing by myself. I've also (finally) begun to work on my technique, and have definitely improved in that area.
I've gone through various phases: playing slowly, trying to play fast, composing careful solos and lead breaks, just jamming, writing vocal songs, instrumentals, pop, rock, jazz ... I think I've pretty much settled in the instrumental area, and things with basically a rock underpinning.
Basically I just like to play ;-)
The tracks on here are a bunch of fairly eclectic compositions - the style of each depending on my mood at the time, and what can fit into the upload restrictions on myspace.
Hope you enjoy
Also, head on over to www.myspace.com/onfireproject - an online "band" I've got involved in. It's waaaay cool 8) ^_^

My Interests

Band Members: Just me and my Ibanez and Laney ^_^
Influences: Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Billy Gibbons, Brian May, Steve Lukather, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, my teacher Graeme Webb, Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons, and Shawn Lane would be the main guitarists who've influenced me. ;-)Outside the guitar it'd be mainly Beethoven and Mozart - especially Mozart's Horn Concertos.
Sounds Like: Truthfully I have no idea. :-| Kind of hard rock with elements of fusion and classical music thrown in ... maybe.
