MayaKalia (Judy Nerbetski) was raised in a home open to psychic development and phenomena, and has formally pursued her studies of magick and psychic development for well over 16 years, studying and attaining initiation under a variety of priests and priestesses, in several Wiccan traditions. Her interest in multicultural studies (she has long been a teacher of Social Studies/Multicultural Education) is also reflected in her magickal and religious studies. She has background knowledge in such varied traditions as Italian, Hindu and West African magick and ritual. She has written, designed and participated in rituals for circles, a small coven and a large pagan church, as well as developed their "intro package" and curriculum, and contributed to their ongoing newsletter. She also managed a metaphysical shop in NJ for over a year, and now works with Joey (see bio below) to create recipes, develop public relations and write newsletters for their own business, Everything Akasha, which produces magickal blends of incense, oils, soaps, etc., as well as teaches classes.
Devyn Barat (Joey Barat) has been studying magick, Wicca, and spirituality for over 14 years. He has studied under a few different high priests as well as independently. Devyn has written many rituals for private circles as well as written, directed and performed in rituals for a Wiccan Church. In the last six years, hehas worked with Judy on developing recipes, clientele and class curriculum for their business, Everything Akasha. Currently, Devyn also works in a fragrance lab where he lends his expertise in magickal folklore to the recipes that they develop and is in the process of publishing a book of poetry:
"Dance of a Thousand Muses."
