Chris Avila

Born in New Jersey in a struggling family of four, Chris learned early the importance of having faith in a supernatural God. Through many setbacks in life, especially losing his Mother at the age of 12, Chris was determined to make something out of his life. Many doors opened for Chris early in his life. He worked for a major secular radio station, starred in an independent film, and shot various commercials. At the age of 19, Chris felt the call of God and dropped everything going for him to seek after his creator. By the time he turned 20, Chris was speaking at camps, churches, high school, junior high, and college campuses. In May of 2002 Chris gained a bachelors degree in Church Leadership at Bethany College in Scotts Valley California. Currently Chris resides in San Jose, California. He is on staff at The Cathedral of Faith as an associate youth pastor under the leadership of Pastors Kenny and Ken Foreman Jr.Our 1st music project released this last October, "Project HYPE 2005." The official release date of Project H.Y.P.E. is set for August 16, 2005. This project is all about Helping Young People Excel. Basically I got a bunch of friends together, got them in the studio to lay down some new stuff, and then we put it all on one album!!!
