About Me

First of all, I'd like to thank you for reading this. This actually means that you believe there's more to a person than the answers to a few ridiculous survey questions. Good for you. I've included the ridiculous survey questions below anyhow, for those less enlightened than yourself. (or maybe just because I couldn't think of anything more interesting to include on this page)
In case you're new to Paul's world, I'm originally from Michigan, Detroit area, and I just moved to florida about 3 years ago. There were many reasons for the move; I had an interesting job opportunity in Naples, my father lives in Ft. Myers, I found a great church that really grabbed me, and I met a wonderful girl with whom I was quite happy (at the time). Mostly, though, I think I just wanted a change of scenery. 25 years under the grey skies and over the cracked streets of Michigan were just too much for me to bear.
So, here I am 3 years later, and it's been quite a ride. Every once in a while, I toy with the idea of returning to Michigan, but every time I come home to visit, I'm reminded of what a bad idea that would be. :) I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, let alone where I want to live, but my next move will probably be my last.
Well, I guess that leads us to myspace. I figure it's a great chance to keep in touch with my friends up north, while simultaneously making a few new ones down here. I gotta be honest, in the last 3 years I've worked so much I've hardly had time to make friends, but I smell change in the wind.
I'm a simple guy, so here's Paul in a paragraph. I'm into high culture, so I enjoy theater, art, books, and quality cinema and music. Especially music. I'm pretty passionate about what I like and my friends will attest to the fact that I don't keep it a secret. I've played the piano since a very young age, and I've gotta admit, I'm pretty good, though very shy when playing in front of people I don't know. Despite this, I play (and sing) on Sunday mornings for my church's contemporary service. I'm a computer geek, so I like video games, anime, and tinkering on my computer. I love outdoorsey stuff (duh, I moved to Florida for a reason) such as tennis, mountain biking, rollerblading, swimming/beaches, and just generally being outside. I don't watch TV at all. If a show is worth seeing, I get it on DVD. I haven't seen a commercial since "where's the beef". I recently founded a computer consulting firm called "Certified Network Solutions" or CNS, since we love our acronyms in the computer industry.
See, pretty simple. But, really, you don't know a THING about me until you've read my survey :) So, without further ado, here are the obligatory survey responses, complete with my unique brand of not-so-funny dry wit, a dash of good-humored sarcasm, and just of touch of brutal honesty:
