Cleo Cooper is headed to Bridgton Academy. Coop as he is known as has a chance now to bring up his test scores, work on his athletic abilities, establish his body, and compete once again before heading off to a major program in the fall of 2008. Cleo, a 6'0, 200 lb. athlete is receiving a lot of attention from top-notch programs, but is awaiting on his test score arrivals. Cleo states that while he is at Bridgton, he can allow more time for his body to develop as a more mature athlete. He also states that attending a prep year will all benefit for him in the nearby future. More and more high school athletes are attending prep schools nowadays because of NCAA Eligibility Regulations. But thats not stopping Mr. Cooper. Coop says that as long as he can keep his study habits up to par, maintain an average grade point average, and bring up his SAT/ACT scores, and compete day in and day out, he will be all right which will allow even more schools to come after the rising youngster. In a recent interview, Cleo has stated that he needs to become more of a physical receiver as well as working on his routes. He says that people tell him all the time that he is a very well rounded athlete, but he thinks that there are still key elements in which he needs to focus more on. Coop played as a Quarterback while at Millbrook where everyone was able to see his athleticism, then winding up as a receiver the second half of his senior season. The 6'0, 200 lb. athlete will wait for baseball season to announce where he will be playing next season. Will we see the youngster on the football field, baseball field, or even better, on both fields? "The question awates." He states that if he can end up at a program that will allow him to play both sports, then he will pursue his dream of doing just that.National Prep Football Recruitng Reporter Dave Thomas
