I am 23 years old and just trying to figure out where I belong in this crazy world. I grew up in Kaukauna, Wisconsin...a city with less than 20,000 people, and not a whole ton to do. I graduated high school in 2003 and spent the next year going back and forth to the Chicago area to visit my old boyfriend of 4 years. Eventually I got tired of long distance, he got tired of Chicago, and we both began college in the Appleton, Wisconsin area. I spent the next 2.5 years attending UW-Fox Valley where I graduated with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Science. Other than general credits, the majority of my study time was divided between sociology and philosophy.
Upon graduation I applied to many schools and in the end I decided to transfer to UW-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Location wise the school is a little more than one hour away from Minneapolis. My time at UW-Fox Valley was by far my best college experience and most people find that hard to believe considering it was at a communuity college. However I had awesome professors, amazing friends, and a lot of free time to branch out and find out more about myself. I also experienced some really rough things while I was a student there. During this time my boyfriend of 4 years ended things with me and I finally had to learn about heartache, betrayal, and that love really doesn't always last forever. Also during this 2.5 year period, my grandmother passed away and I also had to experience death of a close relative for the first time in my life. Despite these heartaches, I learned more in a 1 year period than I had up until that point. At Stout I major in Fashion Merchandising, with my concentration resting on Product Buying, although some days I find myself more drawn to the visual sector of the retail world. Visual is far more creative while Buying will forever remain more analytical. If all continues to go well at Stout then I should graduate with my Bachelors Degree in another 3 semesters. I am not too sure what I am going to do when I finish at Stout, and for now I am okay with that.Basically I have a big smile, a big heart, and a laugh that sometimes exceeds the standard for "inside voices".
I am known to be very persuasive at times. My study habits are irregular and sometimes I refuse to leave the library for a whole semester, and other times I refuse to pick up a book for a whole semester. I have high hopes for the future and hope to to do the most I can with my life. I like to get a lil wild from time to time, and sometimes I just need to go out and dance the night away. I definitely believe in fate and timing, and I think everything happens for a reason.
