Some of my interests are separation of church and state, media reform, how the Internet affects our lives, social change and politics, civil rights, social/political activism, camera obscuras, opium, Chess the musical. Things I like to do: read, write, take photos, draw/paint, and volunteer for issues and groups that I support. For fun I enjoy: films (especially with Q and As), live music, live comedy, the theatre, art museums, fun/funky antique stores and flea markets, games, dusty used book stores, the ocean shore, beautiful vistas, driving with the top open while listening to music, entertaining, and going to restaurants, bars, clubs with good food/drink and mucho ambiance. What really matters: My wonderful family and friends.
Interesting, intellectually curious people with similar values.

Rosa Parks has always been my hero. I also admire many others who, like Rosa, have been brave enough to risk a controversial personal course of action for the greater good. Some heroes that I've met - albeit briefly! - include Dr. Richard Dawkins, Michael Newdow, Sarah Weddington, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Gavin Newsom. My favorite fictional hero is Samwise Gamgee.
