3/9/08- You may realize that my page is different and i made some changes. so did i with my life this weekend. I went away this weekend for an encounter with Jesus. I grew up in church and in my later teenage years i fell away not only from church but the plans that God had in store for me. It's been over 7 yrs now and believe me what God starts he finishes. There were alot of things i did over the years that i was not happy with. i learned this weekend that in order to accept God's forgiveness that i had to forgive myself. I can tell you that such a heavy weight has been lifted off of me and i feel free. yes, i had fun in the bars, clubs, being flirtatious and all of that but everything comes with a consequence. In christ, we can have fun as well. Before i left on this trip someone said "we will see how long this last". It is not easy to walk with Christ, it's a lot easier to just go with the flow of life but i tell you my reward is in heaven. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in christ, he is a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come!!!" i thank God, that all of my old has passed away and he has made me a new person. Romans 3:22 "This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus" I thank God for giving his only son to die on the cross for me (and you) so that I (we) may have eternal life. I'm not trying to come on here as all holier than though because i know there will come times that i don't do what i am supposed to but i lean on my God to give me strength to move forward everyday and tell everyone about his goodness. If he can change me, he can change anyone. There is no sin too great that god can't forgive.Press pause on my music and press play on this video.
