So here's the story. Our pals (and local MT band woot!!!) The Sharktopus made a promise. Their promise? For those who post their banner on their myspace... FREE POPSICLES!!! So, just so everyone knows that MN always upholds their end of the deal, here is the Sharktopus banner. And below? The reward, of course!

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome
to the wonderful extravaganza known as "Moments Notice". As of March 24th, 2007, we put a down payment in on a promise. A promise to you, the listener, of cranking out awesome music and making everything we do worth your time. We hope we've done that.
We’ve definitely become pretty familiar with these songs over the past few months; so we thought we’d give you a treat. Here’s some short bios on the ones posted so far:

"Let it Go"

Wow. It's finally up! This song actually probably took the least time to record, but we think it's hands-down our highest studio quality recording to date. It all started one day when I was dinking around with the D chord... Actually over a year ago... It's funny now in retrospect... It had been given the name "Long intro" for about 9-10 months because that's all I could ever figure out was something that sounded kind of cool and kind of like an intro. Then, finally, I sat my butt down one weekend and plugged my guitar into some fun delay effects, grabbed a pad and pencil and worked it out. Justin's radical vocals came at the end of the recording process when he said "hey, I have an idea" and we just ran the mic. Combining my two different-rhythm vocals in the 2nd verse was also a bunch of fun.
And just so you know, the beginning laugh was natural and not staged. We just loved how well the unexpected random event turned out and kept it. Originally we were going to just say "This is for anyone who hasn't been believed in before" when Justin laughed and I "tried" to keep going. Oh ya. This song was a barrel of fun. Hope you enjoyed it too!!!!

“March On”

For you who’ve already listened to the song, you can tell we’ve stayed simplistic. “March On” is a favorite to play because of its joviality, story-teller feel, and punk drive. The song was kept casual, relaxed and indicative of a good time. We hope that you’ll love it as much as we do. We chose it as our first song because of the resounding chorus, its anthemic quality and history with the band. We never tried to write this one, it just stumbled into our lives when Justin Green (bassist) was goofing around with these four chords as we were trying to impress each other with funny stories. MARCH ON!

"More Broken Than it Was"

This was a wonderful song to write and record, that's part of the reason why it was selected to be the first to be backed with a visual aid (be it even just a souped up photo collage). This song employed a technique we'd been dying to use of the quiet, simple verse with intense, loud chorus. The lyrics and feeling just poured out and formed together naturally. Justin wrote what I think is one of the most appropriate bass parts on any of the songs thus far, and the harmonies at the end wrap it up beautifully. Enjoy!

"Green Eyes"

This song conquers your classic song-story, catching a lover with another (holy cow, did I just rhyme?). Towards the end of production, I had fun throwing together the brief intro. We also in the last weekend decided to put in the vocal during the bridge, which we believe was a wonderful addition! I recorded it with the mic 15 feet away and threw some pan and echo on it for good measure. And we secretly recorded the entire track without a bass guitar! Ya, we're weird like that. So, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed writing it!!!
Now here are those cool banners you were promised to show your mad love for Moments Notice!!!!

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: myspace.com/momentsnoticemt
Band Members: Nicholas Schwaderer (Vocals-Guitar)

Nick is secretly an evil alien. Gabriel (the "stuffed cat") is the leader of his world.

Justin Green (Vocals-Bass)

Justin likes peanut butter and rhubarb ice cream. He is a 4,500 year old elf.

Jeron Timmermans i.e. the "Tech Guy"

"Big Jay" (as he's so fondly known as) is the computer technician who helps with everything - including tweaks to this myspace.

All of this insanity with the band started on March 24th, 2007 when the band (after a year of inactivity having a page on myspace) revamped the page with two new songs. Now they are actively getting "back in the scene" and getting ready to destroy. Thanks for your continuing support of the band, everybody!
