About Me

Tune in now!
California’s unknown hero.A rookie in a world of all-star vets, Alterity does well in holding his own. Just one year after recovering from the mind orgasm he incurred touching his first set of decks, he moved to North Carolina and soon joined forces with the likes of Shatt-a-proof and the Allied Rukus. A mere two years into his career, Alterity has had the honor of playing at Carolina Breakbeat United twice, and has co-promoted and sponsored shows bringing some of the West Coast’s finest out to North Carolina (i.e. Aaron Jae, Simply Jeff).Like his career, the story is brief, but growing at a rapid pace. If you’re looking for a DJ that allows himself to be pigeon holed as a genre-specific DJ, then you’ve come to the wrong place. Constantly trying to keep things fresh, Alterity has been able to offer the best of both worlds to club goers in the Carolinas (and now world wide), interweaving the sounds of breakbeat and drum n bass in his live sets, and with his new start up project, Sinister Works, Inc., he and the Allied Rukus have been able to offer new sound form to the masses.

Check out the Sinister Works Inc site as well!

Influences: I am influenced by life and the people I meet within it. Artisticly I've been influeneced by the Breakbeat genre more than any other. The Autobots, Far Too Loud, CTRL-Z, DJ Icey, D-Ranged, Bass Kleph, Agent K, Jackyl & Hyde, Duel Calibre, D-Lerium & Faze, The Breakfastaz, Cut & Run, Rektchordz, The Stormtroopers, Entity, DJ Quest, the Cereal Killaz, and so many more are big influeneces to me right now, but that's because they're makin' the hottest tracks on the dance floor. I've also been influenced by my fellow DJ's, Shatt-a-proof, Grendel, Jamez... We represent the Allied Rukus core.
Sounds Like: Grimey, nasty, hypnotic tracks that make your body rhytmically groove like a needle in the valleys of a hot piece of vinyl.

Type of Label: Indie

So now it's my turn to play the name game, and I have been toying with a few different ideas (all of which I had to first verify were not already taken, which eliminated most of the easy ones, and a f...
