In Today's Pop Culture, the term "DJ" is widely used. To most people, a DJ is just someone who plays music ... but a TRUE DJ is not a "button pusher". DJ'ing is an art form - one that is often taken for granted. It is an art form just like any other where you must have a deep-rooted passion in order to be a master of your craft. DJ Edge (aka: E-Devious), has had a musical passion from day one - and has undoubtedly mastered his craft. At an early age, one of his favorite pastimes was digging through his families record collection, which included a wide range of musical genres. At the time, he was not aware of the music that eventually would have the biggest impact on him: Hip-Hop.In the late 80's - early 90's, Hip-Hop music was brought into the spotlight and Edge embraced it immediately. Not only did he embrace the music - but he embraced the culture as a whole. It wasn't long before he knew that DJ'ing was something he was meant to do.A Native of Philadelphia, Edge credits many of the city's legendary DJ's for his inspiration - many of whom he knows personally or has worked with such as DJ Jazzy Jeff, Cash Money and The Skratch Makaniks Crew (Jay Ski, Sat One, Excel, Aktive) to name a few. From his sneaker collection to his vinyl collection, it is evident that Hip-Hop is his first love, but anyone who has ever heard him spin can attest to the fact that he is musically diverse - always dropping the right song for his crowd. His DJ experience includes everything from radio to weddings and "anything" in between. Holding down a 9-5 for the government, Edge keeps a busy schedule - but he always lets his passion for music take him to new places - inspiring those who come out to listen to him.
