About this girl named Tammy
Southern born and raised. I'm a 27 year old single mom, currently living in her home town of Athens, GA. It's fun being here. I enjoy driving about the city, seeing all the fans of my alma mater (UGA) showing their bulldog pride. I love martial arts and hope to return to training this winter. I enjoying muay thai, TKD, JKD, and really really would like to pick up on Capoeira! I'm really hoping to get back into top shape by the end of the year. That's my promise to myself. I've been far too lazy the past couple of years and I need to be consistent. Haha, I think I still might want to learn how to break dance, lol. I just think it would be cool to know how to do some of the freezes. I also enjoy weight training and have been recently inspired by a few fantastic ladies on MySpace to look into becoming a fitness model. I have the ambition, just hoping all the stars line up for me in that respect. I think I'd enjoy it. Oh yes, I'll still keep my day job as a behavioral therapist. I'm planning to pursue my PhD in Professional (Clinical) Counseling beginning in 2009! I actually do miss being a student!
I ♥ my daughter Abby with all my heart. She's my rock and takes care of me more than she should have to. Although I'm not with her father, he has been of great to me lately and I appreciate him more than words can say. Thank you for reminding me how beautiful I am, and for lifting my spirit when it was knocked lowest to the ground.
June 28, 200838 weeks pregnant. I've gotten some mixed reviews concerning inducing labor and whatnot and I really appreciate the thoughts shared. I'll talk to my doc about it on Tuesday just to get the pros and cons from him as well. I'm really kind of indifferent at this point. I know one thing, last night was rather difficult, going through a few hours of false labor. At one point I really thought I might go in to the Birth Center, but as you might have picked up by now, I'm not rushing over until I know for SURE I need to go in - the true signs of labor (not just steady contractions) or some indicator that something has gone wrong, God forbid. My belly region is extremely sore from the contractions though, so if anyone thought I wasn't good for walking around before last night, consider my semi-paralyzed today! On top of that, I'm still battling a mild case of the flu. I know, right, share some up-beat stuff! lol Hmmm, Abby wore her first pair of underware yesterday and she was very excited about it. . .until she had a little accident, lol. Bless her little heart. Oh, and thanks again, Shevonne, for the baby gift! Those outfits are adorable!!! And though I may report feeling ill or sore or whatever, I really am doing very well. I'm warm spirited and loving being here with my family and staying in touch with friends. I have an old friend who plans to stop by to visit me and the babies next month! I haven't seen her in, goodness, 6 years! I'm really excited! Now if Nica could make her way back down here before going off to study in Costa Rica. . .lol.
