Picnic tables are NOT toboggans

About Me

After College and my post graduate degree in Ninjitsu, I decided that maybe being a pirate ghost would be up my alley. I think my past as a time travelling space cowboy will come in handy.

My Interests

Exploring that thing that makes us who we are, that fundamental spark, the fire that drives us forward, keeps us together, and tears us apart. That and air-hockey, I love air-hockey. And of course the wonderful bitch-goddess that is Texas Hold-em, which I've been playing for about 5 years, so before it became the ipod of social games.

I'd like to meet:

Living: Steve Jobs or Walter Murch/Thelma Schunmacher, Dalai Lama; I know that last one is a cliche but I'd really like to meet him.Dead/Historical: Lenny Bruce, Nichola Tesla, Jack Kerouac

Music:

Johnny Cash, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Flaming Lips, The Weakerthans, Sublime, White Stripes/Racontuers, Jack Johnson, Beastie Boys, Postal Service The Ramones, U2, The Smiths, The Tragically Hip, The Clash, Queens of the Stoneage, Weezer, Miles Davis, Kanye West, Alexisonfire, Neil Young, Janice Joplin, Beatles... more probably, I'm tired

Movies:

Citizen Kane High Fidelity Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind The Usual Suspects Ferris Beuller's Day Off Brokeback Mountain, make all the gay jokes you want, it's a great show Taxi Drive The Passenger Vertigo Fight Club The list goes on and on...

Television:

I try to avoid television at all costs, it's like smoking, doesn't seem bad right now, but in 20 years you'll regret it. I am a Big Stewart/Colbert fan, I think Strombolopolous is brilliant and the Simpsons is my mainstay.Other than that, TV is basically my radio, it's on to fill the void, mainly I couldn't give a shit if it dissapeared.

Books:

The Art of Hapiness, Oh the Places You'll Go!, Where the Wild Things Are, On the Road, and of couse... Brief History of TimeI read a lot so I don't think I'll bother naming authors I like, just no Dan Brown

Heroes:

Spiderman, and my mom, oddly enough for the same reason, the ability to climb sheer walls.
Which Colossal Death Robot Are You?

Valentine's Day Sucks no matter what

Morning in the big smoke

8am, College at Euclid. Waiting for the streetcar so I can head home, a small crowd gathers in the anticipation for the next ride. The city is frosted with the first real snowfall of the season On my...

Dependence on devices sucks

I lost a member of my family last night, my beloved and well used Motorola V551 decided to kack out on me while I was out with a group from work and waiting for a phone call. So it really opens my eye...

Homeward bound

Well, in just a few short hours I'll be on a plane home to my frozen home of Winnipeg, which apperently "felt like -48C with the windchill" now I grew up in shit like that, but I;ll be perfectly hones...

New Years Resolutions

I've never been big on the New Years resolutions, the idea that I'll wake up and strive to be a completely different person from one day to the next is laughable, and conflicts with my inner lazy-ass....

More friends than in real life

I haven't been on myspace in about a week, I find 2 to 3 check-ins a week is the magic number for me. I come back to like 4 new friend requests, I wish I had that many people wanting my attention in t...

Too legit to quit

I've been working a lot lately, both at my day (night shoft) job at CityTV and freelancing as an editor, so I did something I always said I would do "someday" if I made money freelancing. I BOUGHT SOF...
