Hey, I'm a guy living in Tallahassee, FL trying to figure out what I want to do. I love music and love playing music with the people around me right now. I really look up to all the people, around the world right now putting out great music and and inspiring me to do the same(Miguel Zenon, Branford, David Sanchez, Jaleel Shaw, Ari Hoenig, Brad Mehldau, Bjork and many others). I'm not sure where music is going to lead me, all I know is that I love it at times and at times I've wanted to never pick up the saxophone again. However as time passes, it's what I always come back to. If you have read all this, sorry for babbling, I will finish with this. Don't do things because it's what is seen by others as what you should do or because you're told you should be doing something, do whatever you know is right for you. Yes, be there for others and respect others' opinions, but don't let what other people think dictate your actions. I was told this recently and it is absolutely true, "unhappy musicians, make unhappy music", this statement is absolutely right.
