Nilda Valdez, an aspiring video jockey, came into the world on February 19th in north western Queens, New York, Long Island City. Raised in Corona, Queens, New York during the 80s, Nilda discovered her passion for the entertainment industry at a very early age and began to make her dream a reality.Nilda was first introduced to the stage when her mother enrolled her into a ballet school. Since then, Nilda continued her craft and participated in a dance class and was selected to be in a stepping squad at her high school, John Bowne High School: “Being on stage has and will always be an exciting thing for meâ€.In June of 2004, Nilda contributed her time and brilliant ideas to Savage Mode. Savage Mode is a marketing/promotions company located in New York, NY. With a Business Bachelor of Marketing degree under her belt, Nilda applied her education and experience to the street team.
One year later,2005, Nilda landed a job at G-Unit Records, an eminent and successful record label distributed through Universal Music Group’s Interscope Records, as an Office Manager/Assistant. Nilda’s charming personality and enthusiasm for music and entertainment opened doors for her during her time at G-Unit Records.In November 2005, Nilda was appointed by G-Unit Records to be the official producer of the syndicated high ratings show, “The Gomez Brothers†on Sirius Satellite/ Shade 45/ G-Unit Radio. Throughout Nilda’s education, job experiences, and extra curricular activities she continues to keep entertainment, her ultimate passion and Video Jockeying a constant goal. With Nilda’s dream position, as a Video Jockey, she hopes to be a role model to the next generation: “I want to give a spark to our youth and help them understand the principle of being unique and that they don’t have to follow everybody else. It’s okay to beat the tune of your own drumâ€.
