Cremain (remains of cremation) was created in 2002 when guitarists Josh Rauber and Michael Bennett, along with drummer Jay-r Cimatu, aquired bassist Barry Knappe. Together they have been writing and playing their music, combining often hateful and philosophical lyrics about religion, death, and tragedies of their own experience, with agressive, heavy guitar riffs, solid bass lines, and powerful drumming. With influences such as Opeth, Death, Morbid Angel, Arsis, and Hypocrisy as well as Vital Remains, Deicide, Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Decrepit Birth, Necrophagist (the list goes on), Cremain's style continues to grow heavier, more brutal and more technical.
However Cremain has recently suffered the loss of a member. Jay-r has currently resigned his position on the drum throne. So as of now they are trying to find an experienced death metal drummer who can fulfill the requirements of their older songs as well as the new material they've been working on. Fast double bass and blast beats are a must.
