About Me

Theres not a person alive who can make everybody happy, says rock singer Jeannine St.Clair. I learned at an early age that you cant please everybody, and the road to success is unpredictable, and challenging.Although this willowy blond understands todays music industry trend-setters are not accepting of her love for good old hard rock, she stands by the individuality on her debut disc, Get To You with conviction. Theres a female revolution now and I'd like to contribute my powerful rock style and soul."After graduating from high school, Clevelands glam-punk-metal queens Cherry Bomb invited Jeannine to be their lead singer. The drummer said to me, Youve been doing all this pretty singing, join our all-girl rock band.It was the start of her first rock band that gave Jeannine a commitment to music, enabling her to leave Kent States Nursing School without regret. My parents nightmare was coming true, not mine. Shortly after, Jeannine found herself hitting the road and doing sessions for a California-based record company with infamous Runaways producer Kim Fowley and Skid Row/Doro Pesch/Boys II Men producer Jack Ponti. In 1995 Jeannine was asked to be the lead singer of an all-woman band with former "VIxen" drummer, Roxy Petrucci, and guitar player Gina Style from the "Poison Dollies" demoing nine songs together.Jeannines resume of performing live is not without diversity. She has performed in front of 20,000 people for the Clevelandm CAVS and sang the National Anthem in front of a crowd of 43,000 several times for the Cleveland Indians. My favorite memory from the beginning days of my rock career was dueting Close My Eyes Forever with Lita Ford. She did a clinic, and the local rep introduced us. She talked with a few of the fans who had arrived early to see her, pulled me aside and said, ya wanna sing with me later? I asked her which part she wanted to sing, Ozzys or her part, and she kind-of gave me a confused look and said, Ill do Litas. She was nice.Jeannines hard-edged metal influences are alive on and offstage. Supporting her solo project are band members guitarist Billy Morris, bassist Joe Frietchen, and drummer Todd Shelly. Says Morris, Jeannines got a lot of charisma and energy live, so its a lot of fun to work with her.Jeannine--of course-- combines all of her life experiences--both happy and hard. Rock is power for celebration and declaration. I like music with more attitude and balls. And I admit I have anger, too-- Female musicians cant help that because some people dont treat you the same as guys.

Your way....

one of my favorite sayings.... Living in the past is a dull and lonely business, looking back strains the neck and causes you to bump into people not going your way. Author unknown
