Hello!
I'm a Bristol-based bassist and general 25 year old bloke... Bands I play in include:
BURLY CHASSIS - Breakbeat, funk, house etc, featuring the words of Stanley Wilfred Merhtens
DIRKISH - Jazzy reggae-y funk and off-the-wall to-the-point worldly observations
THE BARROW GANG - monthly bossa, funk, reggae, latin, jazz etc - come and get involved, third Tuesday of the month at Mr Wolfs
People i've played with include: Ali George, Tetra Fever, Members of Gringo Ska, Malarchy (kind of...!), Joanna Harvey, my old band Phonetics (RIP), Zigganova (Klezmer), When the Fat Lady Sings, Otto, Poppy Pitt... Hmm, more I'm sure. The tunes on this page aren't really that serious and they're ages old, but I enjoyed making them and they're pretty fun!
I'm always looking for more projects and collaborations so if you need a stand-in bassist or some recording or a new band member or you'd just like to buy me a pint, please get in touch! I'm most comfortable playing funk, dub, eastern folk, most things electronically-inspired, singer-songwriter-folky ting, though I'll give most things a go af they're interesting. I'd like to say jazz but that'd be a massive LIE. BLAH BLAHH!!
