There are lots. Miike films are pretty cool. I'm sure alot of cultural stuff gets lost in translation but they are so many things reflected in them, I don't think it matters. Davis Lynch movies are awesome(thanks A.). Old cult and horror films. Go-go dancers and zombies, aliens and businessmen, the whole bit. A little off topic, I dont know how some of the shittiest directors get the biggest budgets, or hell, even small budgets. How do companies and people fund these shit productions? They cant break even.
Not usually,but a couple series are cool. eerie indiana( the first few episodes at least), freaks and geeks, dexter, tales from the crypt, batman animated, etc... once a series goes to dvd you can see if its worth spending your time with.
