We're men, with names."Being seasoned veterans of the Bay Area peninsula indie scene, Russell Bombon and Daniel Piotter (KK&Bailey, Back Seat Driver, RedCard) Have rejoined with long lost Cody Brunst (RedCard) and William Maykel -newcomer to the world of angst driven post-punk apocalypse. This time they bring you grime-distorted, heavy-melody, shout-out-loud vocal stylings; key signatures of that long lost 90's pre-"emo" emo, post-"real" hardcore.
Due to the collapse of modern civilization, the band experienced some major downtime through the years 2008 and 2009 and had parted ways with the beloved bassist Piotter –but what Ocelot stands for must prevail over the common-sorts of strife. These are men who need not shelter but only purpose, and thus established a new HQ and began to plot again. On one raging night a proposition was made with the ever-talented four-stringer John Olmos. John had quickly filled his domain and a new campaign is now underway. Beginning December 5th at the Retox Lounge SF, Ocelot will reemerge to stand tall as the kingdom of rock and roll was falling to the forces of the corrupt. A truer sound shall prevail over the polish and false (autotuned) of a desperate industry. Once more shall we live. And so shall you to tell our tale?Performance is liberating.
