This languid tandem prizes their musical ability as a treat to fans and themselves. Gifted with a presence on the mic like this… you must be actin’ if you don’t give them props. ____________________________________________________________ __Local action movie star Chuck Norris was recently quoted in reference to this hip-hop supergroup: “I never really listened to hip-hop, but Chuck Norris considers TeamOne the Chuck Norris of music. It’s like a roundhouse kick to the ear.” Chuck Norris still doesn’t listen to hip-hop. The guy from Verizon Wireless took one listen and knew what to "hear now." It was that good. When Kanye West was asked about the new upcoming hiphop trio, TeamOne, in a post-concert interview last year, he replied, "Who?” Tsk tsk, that’s a rock band, Kanye… These are just a few of TeamOne's many accomplishments since they broke out onto the Chicago hip-hop scene in 2006. Its been a long journey since their debut single, and they've nearly broken backs climbing the mountain of success. ____________________________________________________________ ____This talented group hones their skills producing, emceeing, engineering, and occasional sketch comedy through pretty much everything they do. Think this is overdrive? Well you ain’t seen nothin yet. One member, Robert K, also holds the record for long-distance ripping: a regulation city block. Not to be outdone Emcee/Producer Nima T (aka Entee) was voted "most likely to be confused with a fish”, which proves pitiful only to his surname Mr. T. Finally Emcee/Engineer Gallant is the first known rapper to rock a Grill, thanks in large part to his horrible orthodontist. Relatedly he also holds the record by any man for "years with braces."____________________________________________________ _____________ They’ve gone from No-Names, to Whats-their-faces, to gracing the cover of their new album, which is due to come out some time in the next 5 years. Their new take on the hip-hop genre debuts many guitar, piano and vocal samples, as well as the beautiful voice of Danielle Pearse.
