Michael Budd / House DJ & Fanatic / TorontoMy fascination with music began at an early age - my parents home was never without it and I recall fondly watching my Dad make mixed tapes by placing the recorder in front of the speaker and waiting for a song he liked. Shhh...My first record was a 45 - Styx - Mr. Roboto. I was three. I remember the day I got it as clearly as if I had watched the scene on T.V. That 45 was also a gift from my father. He used to drum way before we met, so I guess I owe a lot of my musical appreciation and prowess to the Wayner. Thanks Pop.Dance music found a place in my heart early on. It wasn't until I finished high school and was on my way to getting kicked out of University that I really discovered house music. Once I found it - there was no turning back.I had always been a train spotter. As far as I was concerned (and still am, frankly), there's only two places to be in a club - in the booth or on the floor. Now I am a marketing and media afficianado by day and a decks and drum loops addict by nite.My sound is funky / deep / bumpin / chunky with an occasional smattering of electro. Demo's, etc. coming soon. I'm heavily influenced by the sounds of Chicago, San Fran and a touch of Chicago grime. On a temporary residency hiatus but will be announcing some new nights in collaboration with Huge In Europe in the new year.Making feet hate me one record at a time.Aural Pleasure October Line-Up
