Nanz passion has always been music, from a young age experimenting with mixing with his dad's old vinly and record players. With the introduction of deejay computer software Nanz taugh himself the art of beat mixing using various software programs such as BPM studio and a number of other deejaying programs.
From then on things progressed and Nanz (who was now 18) got a hold of some CD players mixer from his cousin who was running a deejay company. Working on his mixing technique and playing at a number of his friends parties (mostly HipHop and R&B) Nanz grew in experience and he started making his own mix CD's.
During university Nanz worked for a cellular accessory company where he met one of his best friends Brad who introduced him to the world of Dance Music. Brad happened to be best mates with NZ deejay's / producers Sample Gee (Grant) and Sam Hill (NZ's pioneering DJ's). Grant and Sam were responsible for the legendary and successful Brain parties (the first rave parties in NZ) and have been part of the dance music scene for as long as anyone can remember.
From that point on Nanz influences moved from HipHop to Trance and he attended the early Gatecrasher, Ministry of Sound, and Lagered parties.
Weekends were spent at the local Bed and Kiss niteclubs which catered to local Trance fans. Nanz fell in love with the sound and began collecting the music. More mix CD's were created, after enough of the right ppl hearing Nanz mixing ability and tune selection, he was put on his first offical gig, Chemistry. Chemistry was the biggest local trance party run by Sam and Grant from early on in 2000 / 2001.
The rest is history after that, Nanz became a Chemistry resident and has gone onto play a number of parties including CREAM, SLINKY, GATECRASHER, BIG CLUB NITE OUT, DEEP HARD n FUNKY, FLASHDANCE, NATIONAL ANTHEMS, SUMMERDAYZE, HEINEKEN THIRST, and MINISTRY OF SOUND.
Nanz is a current resident @ CODE & MET, two of Aucklands finest HOUSE / ELECTRO clubs.
Residencies include, MET AND CODE Nite clubs, Chemistry, Summerdayze, Ministry of Sound (NZ), FlashDance, and Deep Hard n Funky.
International Deejays supported: Steve Hill aka Mr Bishi aka Voltswagen, Ferry Corsten, Ronald van Gelderen, Agnelli & Nelson, Scott Bond, Rob Tissera, Dave Lea, Eddie Halliwell, Guy Ornadel, Tall Paul, Graham Gold, Lisa Lashes, Roger Sanchez, MYLO, John Course, Mark Dynamix, Axwell, Tom Novy, Kid Kenobi, Louis Osbourne, Xpress 2, Greg Churchill and a host of others.
