About Me

Extended Banner Editor MySpace Editor MySpace Layouts Glitter Words MySpace In 1992 I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in painting. Upon moving to Wisconsin in 1998 I joined the artist collective Artbite, with which I now show my work with regularity. Occasionally I still apply my visual sensibilities to design, and have collaborated with many wonderful people over the years. Becoming more sculptural over time, the work I am now creating present moods of time and loss, obsession and affliction, magic and reality. Using the design of another era, with materials like limestone, bronze, and human bone, these pieces ask questions as to their origin and purpose. Nothing in my artwork is assemblage or found-object based. In crafting each part myself, I hope to emphasize the relationship between art and medicine as sharing the technical and the aesthetic. Through these pieces I wish to return the viewer to an age when art and science enhanced the beauty and mystery of each.
