About Me

Welcome to my MySpace page! I'm Alisha, the creator and webmistress of MotownGirl.com ; the first natural how-to hair guide on the web. Established in 2001, my website is dedicated to helping people learn how to style and manage their natural hair at home.

    Step-by-step hairstyle how-to's instructions
    Natural hair FAQ's
    Product reviews
    A free monthly newsletter
Tips on how to trim your own hair
    Hair care articles
    Homemade hair recipes...

and monthly spotlights on individuals and companies that benefit those with natural hair are all avaliable for free and much more!

I started transitioning from straight relaxed hair to natural hair in 1999 and I had a lot of experiences (both positive and negative). So I decided to document my journey and created my first website. As e-mails poured in (comments and questions), I created new sections and pages for my site and it continues to grow!

I am also living my dream by working for myself as a computer geek (also known as a web developer). :) I do all kinds of projects for my clients such as installing shopping carts, developing custom software and applications and computer programming just to name a few.

Thanks for stopping by!
