About Me

I’m just a country boy who has been around the sun enough times to know that most of us in the world need to slow down enough to smell the roses. The last few years, I have endeavored to do just that through songwriting and music.

Since 2004, I’ve been writing songs, and performing regularly at local venues around Charlotte. I'm a co-founder of the Sylvia Songwriter's Round show at the Sylvia Theater in York, SC and serve as host of that show several times a year. I'm also honored to be a member of the Tosco Music Party sing-along choir. The best thing is sharing and enjoying the new friends I have made through music.

And the roses are more fragrant each and every day!

Philip Roberts from Rock Hill, SC plays mandolin, guitar, and lends his sweet harmony vocals to Nothin' But Tears and Emma Lee. He also recorded Nothin' But Tears in his studio. THANKS, Philip! You add so much with your talent!

Lately, I've collaborated with Charles Bradford, Tom Aggeles, Paul Finnican, Steve Simpson, Tim Fast, David Lambert, Tracy McCarter and a host of other friends....

I have also been fortunate to add harmony vocal tracks for several CD projects by Steve Simpson, Bruce Johnson, J.Scott Hinkle, and Not Waving But Drowning.
