Games, comedy, some books, photography, film, and music. Those are the things I dig, dig?
I'd like to meet:
Chris Rock (I've seen him live though), Dave Chapelle, the ghost of Richard Pryor, John Madden, Sid Haig, Shiggy Miyamoto, Hideo Kojima, all members of the bands Korn, Slipknot, Metallica (I've actually accomplished that one), Disturbed, System of a Down, Strapping Young Lad, Gwar, and bunches of other people and groups of people.
And ladies. It'd be nice to meet some ladies.
Music:
HARD rock, metal, and other stuff. Like, the bands listed. When I listen to radio it's usually 94.1, 104.9, or "THE NEW hot" 105.9. 'Cause it's plays a variety of rock, whereas before it was the same ten rap and R&B songs over and over again.
I like just about every kind of rock, from classic rock 'n roll to death metal. I'm not a fan of some soft rock and "emo" though. But I don't discriminate by subgenre; I judge on a song by song basis, and only dismiss something if I just don't get any enjoyment from it.
I listen to some other genres of music. Next to rock, modern orchestral stuff (like scores from movies and games) is pretty up there. I do like some country, but I don't have any favorite artists (besides maybe Johnny Cash). As far as rap goes, I dislike most of the crap they play on the radio. Can't really stand it. Love Public Enemy (Bring the Noise) though.
Pop music doesn't sway me one way or the other. It's all really catchy, which it's designed to be, but the songs themselves have no depth. It's the kind of music you remember for decades but have no idea why.
I'm not going to go and analyze EVERY musical genre, but I think what I've said gives a good impression of my opinions of music. I will add this--
METALLICA
is my favorite band/artist. I will not argue that they are the greatest, but they appeal to me on a musical level more than anyone else. Also, DEATH MAGNETIC WILL KICK ASS (or, if it's passed September 12th 2008 and I haven't changed this, DEATH MAGNETIC KICKS ASS).
Movies:
Star-to-the-friggin'-wars. Lord of the Rings, The Matrix. Superbad. Iron Man. The Dark Knight. Mostly action films, and comedy films, too. Big fan of Kevin Smith. I probably should have put him under the "people to meet" thing. I'm not too much of a horron fan (I usually just watch exceptionally bad horror film and make fun of them). However, I thouroughly enjoy The Devil's Rejects, mostly because of the lines, "Consider me Willy-fucking-Wanka, this is my chocolate factory" and "There is no fucking ice cream in your future".
Television:
HEROES HEROES HEROES, South Park, Chapelle's Show, Drawn Together, Reno911, Daily Show, Colbert Report. Stuff on G4, too. Once in awhile I'll switch to History Channel and stuff like that, 'cause, you know, I get most of my material for my stories from the folly of mankind.
Books:
Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Masters of Doom, Johnny Got His Gun, In Cold Blood, East of Eden, The Fountain, The Binder Quadagy. When Will Jesus Bring the Porkchops? was good. Carlin was a fucking legend.
Mostly fantasy. Educational books on things that tickle my mind are good too. Books that tickle other places shall not be mentioned. Comedy as well. Oh, yeah. Sherlock Holmes was good. He used his brain to solve crimes! Like Batman! Yeah...
Heroes:
George Carlin and Richard Pryor (RIP)
Masi Oka (the people who know who he is should be laughing that I put him under "heroes".
Will, for being awesome at everything and not being a dick about it like someone else I know. Jake, for having such kick-ass hair. My 11th grade history teacher was a pretty cool guy. Oh, and my English 102 teacher, just 'cause he carries a longsword around campus. That's bad ass.
